Home and School

The Home and School are a group of parents and caregivers who aim to support our school community. We are a friendly, approachable and welcoming bunch, who love to meet other parents and whānau who are involved with our school. We have varying and unique backgrounds and interests but one thing we all have in common is our motivation to help make Central School the best it can be for our tamariki.

Support - supporting the school by raising funds and supporting the whānau in our school community.

Promote - promoting connections, community involvement and promoting school spirit and unity through school events.

Achieve - achieving goals around fundraising, connections and support.

HOW CAN I BE INVOLVED?

Many opportunities exist for parents to help. Some assist without attending Home and School meetings, being included in regular correspondence and offering help where they can. Other members like to be hands on as well as regularly attending meetings. We welcome people to come and contribute at meetings without any pressure to take on a defined role. 

H&S HUI

All meetings are held at the Central School staffroom (above the school office). All new members are warmly welcomed! Meeting dates are shared on the school Facebook page and school Google Calendar. There is no need to RSVP! We would love to see you there!
